Over the past few weeks I was visiting our 2025-26 house church leaders training centers in different areas. This year we have started 24 training centers in 6 different states, and more than 700 men and women, mostly young (between the ages 25 to 35) have joined in the training. I was in a tribal village in Rajasthan where this year we started a training center for 24 men and women from 5 different unreached tribal people groups. One student, Davi, a 27-year-old woman, is a mother of two children, and was a traditional idol worshiper. Her husband was an alcoholic and was sentenced to 6 years in jail for attacking his own friend.
A year ago we started a tailoring center near her village, so she joined the sewing center to learn how to create a source of income for her family. In the sewing center the teacher and a few others were believers, but the rest of the ladies were Hindus or Muslims. As usual, every day in the sewing center they started with prayer and Bible reading, so Davi got used to sharing her prayer requests and they prayed for one another. Davi requested prayer for her family, especially for her husband’s early release from prison. Davi was emotionally down concerning her family situations. She had to work hard to provide for her two children. According to Davi, the sewing center became a place of refuge and comfort for her where she could speak about her burdens, and open her heart.
Last January 26th, on our Independence Day, miraculously her husband was released from jail after serving 2 years of a 6-year sentence, and he came back home. For Davi it was the greatest of miracles, her faith in Jesus and in prayer has grown and they invited one of our house church leaders to their home. Through him they accepted Jesus into their life. As Jesus said to Zacchaeus “today salvation has come to this house”. Slowly through Davi and her husband’s testimony and sharing of their faith, and what happened in the life of Davi through prayer, this helped other women in the sewing center to believe in Jesus, including 5 Muslim women.

The message of the Gospel spread around through the mouth of these simple women to other women, drawing them to the Lord. Many have experienced divine healing, deliverance, and comfort. In the last two years around that area, they have started 11 prayer groups in 11 villages among the unreached people groups. In the last two years, we baptized 109 believers from these prayer groups. Today, 24 men and women are going through the training center. They not only are learning God’s Word, but are sharing with their friends and neighbors, and their relatives all around them.
In another training center in Haryana, another student, Sanu is a brick maker, a hard worker, and a loyal person. A devout Hindu, he served and worshiped all the gods and goddesses. According to him, he worked day and night, earned money and with that money he made offerings to the gods and goddesses, visiting one holy place after another place, seeking peace of mind. But he struggled physically, mentally and financially, and there were always disputes within the family, and he frequently fought with others. To Sanu’s dismay, his sincere effort to please the gods and goddesses, and his prayers to his idols, went unanswered.
During this time, one of our missionaries, Mahandra, began to work specifically among the brick workers. He used to be a brick worker himself, but he got saved and is now serving the Lord. He can’t read or write, but he listens to the parables of the Bible and has made many songs from the parables, singing to the people in their native tongue. He sings four lines and stops to explain them. Then he sings another four lines, and again explains them to the people. People enjoy his singing, and afterwards he shares the Gospel and invites people to give their lives to Jesus. In this way, Mahandra has led thousands of poor, uneducated people, who can’t read and write, to the Lord Jesus.
Mahandra reached Sanu’s brick factory one evening, and Sanu’s friend invited him to listen to the songs of Mahandra. That day, Mahandra’s song was based on John 5:1-14. That day, Sanu had experienced a divine presence of God in his life. The Gospel message gave him a glimpse of hope and comfort amidst his struggles. Without even realizing it, his attitude began to change.
The next week when Mahandra again visited their brick factory, Sanu overcame his reluctance and approached Mahandra. In response to the Good News, Sanu and his wife both received Jesus as their Savior. Following this life-changing decision, despite the opposition, the couple stood firm in their new faith.
During the last few years, Sanu and his family have shared God’s love by visiting members of the community, praying and sharing the Gospel. Hundreds of people have come to the Lord Jesus. Last week, I was in their area visiting the new training center. 29 men and women from their community, and other areas, attended the training. Some of them can hardly read or write, but they have found the way to reach the people by sharing the Gospel through folk songs.

To train up these more than 700 people, in 24 training centers, our brothers are putting forth lots of effort. Today we are preparing the hearts of these men and women and sowing the seed, the days of harvest are coming and we will be able to harvest a great harvest.
